ProgressLab is a Singapore education startup building a structured after-school support model around the learner behind the curriculum. Our first ProgressLab centre serves as both an operating student-care environment and a real-world pilot site for TAIP — the Teaching & Academic Intelligence Platform. TAIP is being developed as a non-diagnostic observation, intervention and parent-visibility system. It enables facilitators to capture factual observations across areas such as academic behaviour, attention and task engagement, emotional regulation and social interaction. Teams can then apply structured support strategies, review the child’s response and identify meaningful patterns over time. For parents, this creates clearer visibility into how their child approaches learning—not merely whether homework was completed. Our development approach begins with governed manual workflows and structured data collection inside our first centre. Once the operating model and intervention framework have been validated, the system can be productised for use by other student-care operators, enrichment providers and education partners. ProgressLab therefore has two connected layers: A revenue-generating student-care and education-services model; and A scalable education-intelligence infrastructure layer through TAIP. Our long-term vision is to help education providers move from informal observation to evidence-informed, human-reviewed learner support while keeping educator judgment and responsible data governance at the centre.

Traditional student care often focuses on supervision, homework completion and general enrichment, while important patterns in a child’s attention, task engagement, emotional regulation and learning behaviour remain undocumented. Parents receive limited visibility beyond whether homework was completed, and educators often lack a consistent system for recording observations, selecting support strategies and evaluating whether those strategies worked. As a result, valuable day-to-day learning information is lost, support can become inconsistent, and parents may only discover difficulties after they have become more significant.
