Bilingual pantry app that turns grocery receipts into recipes, so families cook what they own instead of wasting it.

Overview

What They Do

Users scan a grocery receipt, and Quicine builds a live pantry that tracks what they have and what’s about to expire. Our AI then suggests culturally relevant recipes from what they already own, in English or Spanish, and sends any missing ingredients to Instacart in one tap. Receipt scanning is easy to copy. What isn’t is a product built from day one for bilingual, budget-conscious families, plus the pantry and purchase data that grows with every scan.

Challenge

Problem We Are Solving

The average U.S. family of four throws away $2,913 in food a year, about $56 a week (EPA, 2025). Meal apps assume you’re starting with an empty kitchen. They ignore what’s already in the fridge, how families actually cook, and tight budgets. Bilingual, budget-conscious households lose the most and are served the least.
