MESH is building SAPIEN, a physician-led clinical AI operating system that transforms standard cameras and connected sensors into medical assessment infrastructure. SAPIEN combines computer vision, multimodal sensing and physician-curated clinical intelligence to objectively assess patients while keeping the clinician in control. Its first application, Vitruvian Time Machine, captures movement, gait, range of motion and other physical parameters using an ordinary camera. The platform is designed to make sophisticated clinical capabilities deployable anywhere — from practices and hospitals to remote and home care — without requiring specialised diagnostic infrastructure.

Healthcare depends on scarce clinicians, expensive diagnostic infrastructure and short consultations. Much of the clinically relevant information visible in the patient is never objectively captured. As healthcare workforce shortages grow, we need a way to scale clinical expertise without proportionally scaling specialists, hardware and facilities.
