Know what every paycheque needs to do before you spend it.

Overview

What They Do

DueSimple is a fintech startup building a paycheque-first approach to personal financial planning. Instead of starting with a monthly budget or looking backward at past transactions, DueSimple looks forward. It organizes upcoming income across bills, everyday spending, debt, savings and financial goals, then shows what each individual paycheque needs to cover. Its planning engine can also spread larger upcoming expenses across multiple earlier paycheques. For example, instead of discovering that a $600 bill is due next month, DueSimple can begin reserving smaller amounts from the paycheques leading up to it so the money is ready when the bill arrives. DueSimple grew from a system I originally built for myself while trying to get out of approximately $25,000 in debt. That approach helped me regain control of my finances and became the foundation for a product designed to make forward-looking financial planning simple and accessible to more households. The goal is not simply to help people spend less. It is to help them make intentional decisions with every paycheque, reduce debt, build savings and make measurable progress toward the life they are trying to create. That last sentence is important. It gets DueSimple away from sounding like “yet another budgeting app” and into the much bigger idea: using each paycheque intentionally to move someone's financial life forward.

Challenge

Problem We Are Solving

Most budgeting tools organize money by month or explain where money went after it was spent. But people live from one paycheque to the next, and a bank balance does not show what that money is already responsible for. This creates a simple but stressful question: “How much of this paycheque can I actually spend without hurting my upcoming bills, debt payments, savings or goals?” DueSimple solves that planning gap by showing what each upcoming paycheque needs to cover before the money is spent.
